Novel concept of bared type metallic stent for endoscopic bilateral stent‐in‐stent placement in patients with hilar malignant biliary obstruction (with video)

For endoscopic bilateral stent-in-stent placement (SIS) of self-expandable metal stents (SEMSs) in patients with hilar malignant biliary obstruction (hMBO), increase in the degree of bend in the bile duct stricture may create a gap between the guide wire (GW) and cause the delivery tip to be caught in the mesh of the initially inserted SEMS, leading to failure.
