Information Systems Application in Inter-Institution Collaboration in Higher Education

Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools (CFCRSs) are an important part of internationalization of higher education. By analyzing quality challenges faced by CFCRSs and the role of information and communication technology (ICT) in higher education, this paper posits a model to integrate e-learning into the formation and teaching process of CFCRSs. Based on this model, we propose a strategy to deal with quality challenges faced by CFCRSs, and to overcome barriers to e-learning. Especially, the results in this paper indicate the value of ICT to be utilized in other forms of inter-institution collaboration in higher education all over the world.
