The condensation appearance on the surface of the underground parking lot is critical issue followed with floor slippery and degrade indoor air quality of underground space. Although there were various attempts to preventing condensation with insulation and ventilation method, the issue was remaining for solving the problem. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the hygrothermal characteristics of the underground parking lot to apply the condensation prevention solutions. The purpose of this study is to analyze the condensation appearance characteristic by conducting field measurement and to evaluate a solution for condensation preventing with energy plus simulation. The condensation prevention method was researched with literature review and interviewed with experts. Insulation, heating, dehumidification, and ventilation are selected for condensation preventing. Suggested solution methods were evaluated by field measurement and simulation. As a result, the heating solution is appropriate for preventing condensation at the underground parking lot. The amount of heat requirement fulfill with the heating equipment because of the difference between dewpoint, and surface temperature is insignificant. Therefore, the operating the movable heating fan is the simple and effective solution for underground parking lot condensation issue.
