Direct design of 2-D recursive N-th band digital filters and polyphase filter banks

This paper presents a direct design method for 2-D recursive N-th band digital filters in terms of phase. The 2-D allpass subfilters are designed to closely approximate 2-D ideal polyphase networks, resulting in better stopband performance.<<ETX>>
