A STUDY ON A REAL-TIME SIMULATION FOR THE SECOND LOOP OF PWR NUCLEAR POWER UNIT

A real time model of simulation of secondary system for PWR nuclear power unit is presented. It is based on the energy balance equation, the conservation of mass andmomentum equations and mixture steam property. The effects of compressible steam flows, non-equilibrium two-phase heat exchange and the characteristic of initial steam parameters and volume flow rate for PWR unit are considered, and parameters are dynamically calculated by fluid flow network package.Simulation result shows that the model gets high accuracyand reasonable transient behavior of the secon-dary system and can be used for full scope, normal operating conditions and abnormal accident events in real-time simula-tion for PWRnuclear power unit. It provides a new way to develop the next generation full scope simulators.
