3D multiwavelet packets on low bit-rate color video compression

In this paper, the frequency characteristic of individual basis functions in five types of multiwavelet packets and their influence on 3D packet-based color video compression are examined. The operations of switching packets and shuffling coefficients have been separately tested to evaluate their effects on the low bit-rate color video compression using spatio-temporal 3D multiwavelet packets.
