Computational methods for some inverse scattering problems

Abstract In this article we consider inverse scattering problems for the Schrodinger equation and Zakharov–Shabat system on R . A technique of splitting the problem into two half line problems is presented, with special attention to the case when bound states occur. Specific computational techniques based on this approach are developed and illustrated with examples.
