A Perspective on Controversies About Neonatal Circumcision

Necrosis of the Carpal Lunate Bone in a 7-year-old with Dermatomyositis (CLinPediatr. 1994;33:752-754.) I have been caring for a patient with dermatomyositis who has recently developed avascular necrosis of the carpal capitate bone. The patient is a 22-year-old woman with dermatomyositis since age 16. She has been treated with high-dose steroids, azathioprine, methotrexate, and cyclosporin, but has been doing well on <20 mg/day of prednisone for more than 15 months. Left wrist pain developed when she began training as a hairdresser ; this was initially attributed to &dquo;overuse&dquo; but subsequent evaluation revealed avascular necrosis of
