The invention discloses a vibration stress relief method for a compressor cylinder and relates to the technical field of casting destressing. The compressor cylinder is provided with a circular inner hole. A vibration stress relief device for the compressor cylinder is used and comprises a vibration exciter, a vibration tester and a platform. The platform is 4000mm in length, 1200mm in width and 200mm in height. The top of the platform is provided with a plurality of parallel T-shaped grooves. At least one T-shaped bolt is disposed in at least one T-shaped groove. Each T-shaped bolt penetrates through an external pressure plate. The vibration exciter is fixed at one end of the corresponding T-shaped groove on the top of the platform, and the vibration tester is disposed at the other end of the corresponding T-shaped groove on the top of the platform. By the vibration stress relief method compared with the prior art, machining residual stress of the compressor cylinder can be eliminated effectively, and average residual stress decrease rate is 55%.
