Medication MatchingPro-Ventactiveandplacebocapsules were supplied by the Wellcome Foundation Limited. Unfortunately, Phyllocontin Forte Continusplacebotabletswere not obtainable, so to preservethe double-blind natureof the study, the tabletswere encapsulatedin tamperresistantopaquegelatincapsules,andmatching capsulescontaininginert powderwere usedas the placebo.The capsulesdisintegraterapidly in the stomach,leaving the tablet intact.
