To identify the medicinal plants of Sedum L.,including Sedum emarginatum Migo.,S.kiangnanense D.Q.WAN,S.ellacombianum Praeger.,S.lineare Thunb.and S.sarmentosum Bunge.,by RAPD in molecular level,and preliminarily analyze the relationship among those species.Isolating general DNA from fresh leaves by CTAB and 45 random primers were used to identify them.10 random primers amplified 208 loci which have 173 polymorphic loci,namely 83.2%.The matrix of genetic distance and genetic identity in species was calculated through using Popgen32 by Nei's(1978).Dendrogram was constructed by using UPGMA.RAPD is an effective method to identify the medicinal plants of Sedum L.,and can explore the relationship among species and genetic diversity within the species.The results also provide a basis of DNA molecular level for the identification of the species to be authenticated.
