Study on rock burst prediction method based on gray relational analysis theory

The auxiliary tunnel of Jinping hydropower station is the key project of earlier stage construction of Jinping I,II hydropower station.Due to its deep buried depth and high geo-stress,rock burst may happen. In order to avoid and reduce the loss caused by rock burst, prediction and forecast for rock burst in the auxiliary tunnel are carried out using gray correlation analysis theory;some primary factors closely related to rock burst are selected to forecast rock burst such as the maximum principal stress, single axial compressive strength, point load strength, integrity coefficient and elastic energy index. The result is consistent with the in-situ situation, showing that the gray correlation analysis theory is rational for predicting rock burst.
