Efficient macromodelings for single and coupled on-chip RLC interconnects

By applying the global approximations, the equivalent circuit of single on-chip RLC interconnect is obtained, which is presented by the improved T model and Π model. Then, on the base of the improved T model and n model and according to the multiport theory, we derive two new macromodelings for coupled on-chip RLC interconnects. The result of examples shows that all these proposed macromodelings reach a good accuracy and can work efficiently. Furthermore, because of the facility of these macromodelings, they can be directly incorporated into SPICE frames as sub-circuits easilv.
