EFFECTS OF VARIOUS RATES OF FUSILADE SUPER AS A RIPENER ON THE SUGARCANE VARIETY N14

Fusilade Super at rates of 300 ml/ha, 400 ml/ha and 6,00 ml/ha w~re applied to the sugarcane variety Nl4 in 5 npener expenments. The objective of the experiments was to e~tablish whether the reported poor responses ofNl4 to Fusilade Super could be improved by applying higher rates th~n the 330 m,l/h~ used for ripening other sugarcane vari enes. The da~a mdIc~te that ofthe rates tested, the optimum rate ofapp~ymg Fusilade Super to N14 is about 400 ml/ha. ~omment IS made on the effects of topping height and the interval between varying and harvesting on the reponses to Fusilade Super.
