Application of SVG in the Dispatching Automation System of Power Network

Graph system is a basic part in the dispatching automation system of power network and the graph interoperation between different systems is the necessary requirement along with development of power network. On the basis of introducing the demand of IEC 61970 standard to graphics exchange, scalable vector graphics (SVG)/common information model (CIM) is presented to dynamically exchange the graphics between private format of energy management system (EMS) and common SVG format in dispatching automation system. SVG technology can enhance the level of graph release based on Web as well as extend the ability of graph interoperation. The SVG technology has been used in practice with advantages in graphics exchange.
