Current assisted photonic mixing devices fabricated on high resistivity silicon

An electro-optical mixer based on substrate current modulation is presented. Test devices have been fabricated in a custom technology on high resistivity silicon substrates. Preliminary experimental results demonstrate DC charge separation efficiencies close to 100%. and good demodulation capabilities up to 20 MHz.
