PANORAMA SOBRE A UTILIZAÇÃO DOS PADRÕES DE METADADOS IEEE LOM E OBAA EM REPOSITÓRIOS EDUCACIONAIS BRASILEIROS

Educational repositories are designed to store, preserve and make available learning objects and are being increasingly used to support teaching activities. For this to happen it is necessary that these objects satisfy technical and pedagogical characteristics, which must be specified through metadata, promoting interoperability among systems, reusability and resource sharing. In this context, this article aims to discuss the learning objects and the IEEE LOM and OBAA educational metadata standards, providing an overview on their use in national repositories, highlighting the major contributions, perspectives, and challenges related to their use. The adopted methodology to achieve this purpose consisted on bibliographic research, exploratory and descriptive research conducted in five representative national repositories and literature research based on relevant authors and studies of the area.
