Noise source separation based on the blind source separation

The identification of acoustic source accurately is a fundamental problem in noise control. In the practical project, if the contribution of multi-source-noise to the whole was identified, and then the noise level can be reduced accordingly. To get the accurate noise signal, measurements should be possible while the machines are constantly in action. It is easier to get the mixed signals rather than individual ones. The way to separate the individual signals from the mixed ones is needed in this situation. In our paper Blind Source Separation (BSS) based on temporal predictability (James V. Stone 2001) was used to get the independent individual noise source signals. The results of simulation signals confirmed the feasibility and validity of BSS method in noise source separation and it will play an important role in noise identification, signal source identification and other fields.
