Output-based Benchmarking Method for Performance Improvement in Supply Chain Distribution

The method of selecting target enterprises and the learning route in benchmarking method was summarized. The outputbased benchmarking means of performance measurement and improvement was studied, and some concepts such as outputspecific increase were proposed. The data envelopment analysis (DEA) C2GS2 model was extended to confirm the specific output increase. In the model, all the evaluated enterprises were regarded as the decision making units (DMUs) with the same inputs and outputs. The smallest outputspecific increase is the shortest approach to improve performance for inefficient enterprises. The corresponding goal is the best benchmark for the learning enterprises. The approach is easy to operate in supply chain management practice. In supply chain distribution phase, some enterprises could improve their operational performance by increasing outputs and remaining the inputs level.
