Web content mining using web design patterns

One of the artifacts important for reuse is design pattern. Our article concentrates on the usage of web design patterns while analyzing the structures and contents of web pages. We have created our own Pattrio method of pattern detection on web pages. The detected patterns on web pages describe the web page architecture from the external point of view of the user. The knowledge of this architecture can be used in various connections. Experiments have been presented in several conferences using the method of knowing the structure of web pages as automatically found. The article compares our approach with other selected approaches. Our comparison shows that web design patterns can play an important role in the area of analysis of web page structure and contents.
