The Use of Photogrammetry in Shape and Dimensional Control in Shipbuilding

The paper describes the use of photogrammetry in the control of shape and size of ship hull sections. The methods and significance of dimensional control in shipbuilding are described first. A presentation of photogrammetry follows. Section 4 analyzes an example of the method application in the assembly of a deck section into the crude oil carrier hull. The recording results are also presented and analyzed. Conclusions offer ideas and guidelines for a future application of this method.
