Book Review: Microsensors — Principles and Applications

The final chapter is devoted to a series of interesting case studies extending from optical character recognition to military applications and general remote sensing. Academic staff faced with providing a series of lectures to specialist groups, possibly as a final-year option, would find the text invaluable. Research students entering the field of image processing for the first time would be equally rewarded through the study of the topics covered by the text. Overall an excellent book at a reasonable price. M. G. HARTLEY Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics, UMIST
