Mobile Cloud Web-Service for U-City

U-City aims at the smart future city where the citizen can use a variety of U-City services anytime and anywhere. U-City also does self-administration and yet is under the full control of human beings. In order to offer various kinds of U-City services to the citizen, U-City services often should process large amount of data. We try to use cloud computing techniques to process such large amount of data for the U-City system. In this paper, we present our web services for mobile cloud computing in U-City as a part of our effort for cloud computing to do it. It enables users to use, manage and monitor mobile cloud computing for U-City services anytime and anywhere without experts' knowledge. The concept of the U-City portal which cooperates with the U-City middleware was implemented in Android smart phones. Modified Open Nebula and modified Haizea is used to build our cloud computing platform and many other facilities were added to it in this work.
