DISCUSSION PANEL REPORT: FLEETS AND MANUFACTURERS

The Fleets and Manufacturers Panel forecasts are discussed. The forecasts cover the following: worldwide revenue passenger kilometers; Class I aircraft fleet size; Class II/III/IV aircraft cumulative deliveries, 1999 to 2018; Class II/III/IV aircraft cumulative retirements, 1999 to 2018; and Class II/III/IV aircraft fleet size. In addition, qualitative issues of importance to forecasting in the short and medium term are discussed and comments are made on the Federal Aviation Administration forecasts.
