The configuration of the AT feeding system of the AC electric railway system takes on the method of single point feeding where subway substations from both sides feed up to sub section imposts in ordinary times, and when power outage occurs in a substation on one side due to a malfunction of a substation or GIS maintenance work, extended energization is conducted which supplies power from a substation on one side to the other substation. In this case, there are usually a lot of instances where extended energization is performed while changing only the setting value of the protective relay. This thesis aims to conduct a study on the catenary voltage drop and the power cost loss due to the voltage dreop which is not usually reviewed upon extended energization.
