Generally, the field application gamma spectroscopy shall be capable of operating in the temperature range from-20℃ to 50℃.NaI spectroscopy is sensitive to the temperature drift and such effect will be more evident at the narrow pulse width. We designed a new digital stabilizing method to correct the amplitude of each pulses in real time. The two characteristic peaks of 137Cs are used to stabilize the spectrum in real time without increasing the system complexity. The experimental result shows that this method could efficiently improve the thermal stability of NaI spectroscopy in the temperature range from-20℃ to 50℃.
