IMPLEMENTATION OF FOUR-SWITCHBRUSHLESSDC MOTOR DRIVE BASEDON TMS320LF2407 DSP

Brushless DC (BLDC)motorisattracting muchinterest due togoodperformance andeaseofcontrol formanyapplications. Moreover, reducing ofthedrive components ismore attractive forlowcostapplications. Thispaperpresents the design andimplementation ofareduced parts BLDCmotor drive using theTMS320LF2407A digital signal processor (DSP)produced byTexasInstruments. Partreducing is achieved byreducing thenumberofpowerswitches. After analyzing theperformance oftheproposed BLDC motor drive, thehardware andsoftware details ofthesystem are explored. Finally, anexperimental systemincluded bya BLDCmotor, DSPcontrol board, inverters, andrectifier isset uptovalidate thetheoretical results.
