Through-wall tracking of moving persons by UWB sensor network

The main emphasis of our paper is put on solving of the problem arising when the nodes of ultra-wideband (UWB) sensor network track people through the walls with dissimilar parameters. In such a case, the target coordinates estimated by particular nodes do not fit together and can appear for a fusion centre as different targets. A practical solution consists in application of the low-complex method for wall parameter estimation and its effective utilization for compensation of the wall effect. The experimental results achieved with the methods outlined in the paper confirm the elimination of the false tracks as well as increasing of the localization precision.
