MECHANISM OF DECOMPOSITION OF CUIII(GLYGLYHIS) : A PULSE RADIOLYSIS STUDY

Cu{sup III}(H{sub -2}GlyGlyHis) and Cu{sup III}(H{sub -3}GlyGlyHis) decompose readily to CO{sub 2} and GlyGlyNHCH(OH)CH{sub 2}Im (Im = imidazole) and Cu(I) in aqueous solutions. Kinetic characterization of the first order decomposition reactions under conditions of pulse radiolysis was performed.
