This chapter will cover perhaps the single biggest topic for OpenGL ES: the process of illuminating, shading, and coloring the virtual landscape. We touched on color in the previous chapter, but because it is so integral to both lighting and shading, we will cover it more in depth here. For those of you reading the quaint paper version of this book, yes, I know, it is odd to have a chapter on colors in a monochrome form. However, the ebook version is in color.
