Electron microscopic observation of Trichophyton mentagrophytes.

INTRODUCTION Through the development of the electron microscope, studies on the fine structure of pathogenic fungi have recently become extremely active. Blank, Taplin, Werner, Urabes, Sagamiss, Ishihara, Ikeda, and Ito observed the fine structure of dermatophytes. The authors selected Trichophyton mentagrophytes among dermatophytes for the electron microscopic observation, and obtained the following information.
