스마트 패키지 사례를 통해 본 효율성과 전망에 대한 연구

As the importance of product preservation and consumer safety grows, package design becomes more important through a series of processes from product material to production, distribution, sales, use and disposal. With the recent development of technology, new packaging materials have been developed and wireless and communication technologies have been combined, and the significance and value of package design due to the expansion of close communication function with consumers have been getting more attention. This study analyzes the 'Smart Package' cases applying the extended smart functions to the active and intelligent packages, and examined the efficiency, meaning, and prospects of them. As a result, the active package means adding physical and chemical functions in the package for the purpose of maintaining the quality and shelf life of the product and extending the quality status, and it is gradually expanding its various functions. Intelligent packages monitor and analyze product quality and package status during shipping and storage and provide information about them. This technology has been designed to satisfy the increasing demand for safer food or contents. Future smart packages are expected to be more aggressive and evolve to provide new and innovative materials and systems for packages for active and intelligent packaging systems based on more useful interactions between consumers, products and the environment.
