1000 kV test facilities

Extra high voltage systems cannot be planned purely by interpolating experience on high voltage systems and consequently new testing facilities are needed. The high voltage laboratory of CESI in Milan has contributed to research in this field since 1960 and many manufacturers and utilities both inside and outside Italy make use of its resources for testing equipment intended for use up to 1000 kV.
