The Study on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell with Grid Connected Power Generation

The Solid Oxide Fuel Cell(SOFC) is a new generating set, which directly changes the chemical energy into electric energy at high temperatures. This paper deals with the modeling and analysis of the model of SOFC system in response to the grid connection. The SOFC is interfaced with Buck-Boost converter to obtain stable DC output voltage;then the three-phase inverter widi constant power control using SPWM technique is connected to ensure stable operation in a microgrid.Several simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC software are implemented to show that SOFC can support stable power output, and that it can provide certain load following capacity under the support of energy storage devices and power electronic equipments.
