Project management in international teams: Instruments for improving cooperation

Abstract Cooperation in international and intercultural teams is the day-to-day business of many companies. The success of these project management teams is determined by the methods and instruments used, and, more importantly, by the way in which cultural differences are taken into account, and the impact that they have on the work done. The ability to systematically use these differences will be one of the success factors in the international business of tomorrow. The development of the processes necessary to create such a new communal working platform in transnational companies is just beginning, but it seems that project-oriented companies will be part of this organizational development. A new understanding of project management can make an important contribution to this challenge.
