In the previous chapter, we gave a general overview of some of the key user-centred techniques and how they fit into a user-centred process. To enable these techniques to be properly deployed, consideration needs to be given to project-specific goals and risks and the project’s constraints. For project managers and the project team, this means scheduling the required techniques, deploying well-trained specialists and monitoring progress. This chapter is concerned with how user-centred engineering should be scheduled within a project.
