Recognition of White-Cane Users from Surveillance Camera Images Based on Detection of Line Segments

Accidents caused by visually impaired individuals in public spaces are becoming social problems. In this study, we proposed a recognition method of white-cane users walking in public spaces on the basis of the video images obtained by surveillance cameras. The proposed method was applied to actual camera images, and experimental results were shown.
