A Network Slicing Scheme for Private Communication in State Grid

Targeted at power grid communication networks, we explain the concept of vertical and horizontal slicing, introduce the slicing enabler technologies and the challenges of realizing network slicing in power grid, finally propose a slicing scheme in which vertical slicing guarantees specific applications' quality and horizontal slicing improves system efficiency and flexibility. Our intension is to spur the discussion of the long-range roadmap of private power communication network, and further support the realization of Ubiquitous Power Internet of Things set by State Grid corporation.
