Abstract Drying characteristics have been measured for two types of granular compound fertilizer and for granular mono calcium phosphate. Air was forced through a fixed bed, and the humidity of the air leaving the bed was analysed by means of an infrared photometer. All results confirm the assumption of vapour diffusion as the rate determining mechanism.
