Stability Oriented Cluster Dynamism in VANET (SOCDV)

Network stability and communication stability are the major concerns, which have tremendous impact on the network performance in the recent advanced networks. Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is the promising network to facilitate the error free communication services to the users. In this paper, we proposed the Stability Oriented Cluster Dynamism in VANET (SOCDV) to enhance the cluster stability. The main objective of SOCDV is to present an approach for cluster head selection based on different parameters. Due to vehicles mobility, VANET facing stability issue in clustering, which has great impact on the communication. Cluster stability mainly influenced by mobility, direction, density, distance and connectivity. Since proposed SOCDV scheme forms the cluster and elects the Cluster Head (CH) by considering these influenced factors to eliminate the clustering instability. The SOCDV scheme is simulated in C++ to test the performance in terms of cluster head selection time and cluster lifetime.
