A compact digital X-ray imaging system

A compact digital X-ray imaging system for the nondestructive inspection of small objects was developed.Based on the selected E2V CCD and two CPLDs generated timing clock to control CCD,the driver,A/D,data acquistion and communication circuits were designed and manufactured.The system communication was controlled by a computer through USB2.0 interface,which supplied power to the system.Finally,the characteristics of this system were tested,the results show that the radiographic dosage of this digital imaging system is less 20% than that of traditional X-ray film,and the resolution is higher than 10 lp/mm.The experimental results indicate that the compact digital X-ray imaging system adopting an X-ray sensitive CCD as detecting device has the characteristics of small volumn,high resolution and real-time detecting.
