Urban Railways of Metropolitan will be continuously developed as the essential traffic way for safety, environment, energy conservation and good usefulness. Cylindrical roller bearings are used for the safety and endurance of urban railways, required life of it is above 200,000km at general driving operations. For garantee of bearing life, internal contact stresses of bearing must be considered with the race profile of inner ring, roller profile and crowning. Finite element analysis is conducted to evaluate the internal contact stress. Analysis results provide the stability and reliability of an axle bearing for urban railway.
