A Geometrical Analysis for a Data Compression of 3D Anatomical Structures

Abstract This paper presents an original approach concerning the description and the analysis of three-dimensional anatomical structures. This description is based on the mathematical properties of a set of Fourier descriptors allowing a data compression of three-dimensional objects.
