Secure Messenger System using Attribute Based Encryption

According to the development of smart phones, many services can be provided without limitation of time and place. However, many security problems such as leakage of personal information constantly come up although they provide conveniences. In particular, privacy has emerged as a major issue in society because the leakage of information from mobile devices is directly linked with invasion of personal information. In this paper, we investigate the necessary requirements in messenger applications and propose a security protocol that meets them. The proposed protocol is available for a secure key synchronization between heterogeneous devices by using the Attribute-Based Encryption scheme. In addition, the encrypted dialogue can be opened for an emergency situation.
