Test method for energy consumption of overhead conductors

The invention discloses a test method for energy consumption of overhead conductors. The test method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: (1) selecting a conductor to be tested; (2) fastening a temperature measuring probe on the conductor to be tested; (3) mounting a single copper wire at a potential testing point; (4) connecting a current transformer and an ampere meter; (5) mounting the conductor to be tested on a tension testing machine and loading the conductor to be tested; (6) performing electric connection; (7) powering up a testing loop; (8) measuring and recording testing current and the temperature and the energy consumption Pl of the conductor; (9) switching off power, cooling and repeating the test twice; and (10) calculating the average value of three-time data of the energy consumption of the conductor to be tested. By the test method, research on energy consumption characteristics of overhead conductors can be quantified, and necessary reference data can be provided for the optimization design of overhead conductors of manufacturing enterprises and the model selection of the overhead conductors in power grids.
