High selectivity occurrence of 900 MHz urban mobile radio channel

The frequency selectivity of the 900 MHz propagation channel between a base station and a mobile is investigated in an urban area in Paris. The distribution functions of some selectivity parameters are evaluated and attention is focused on the particularly impaired channels that present a selectivity exceeding that of the reference channels of GSM specifications.
