Research on the Anycast routing protocol for Ad Hoc family networks

Ad Hoc techniques allow quick construction of small scale networks that can effectively communicate between peer-to-peer nodes,so they are ideal for the construction of simple, flexible, and cheap family networks of relatively small scope. As a new kind of communication model, the Anycast protocol plays an important role in balancing network load, reducing network traffic and network-induced delay. The Anycast routing protocol A-DSR was designed by introducing DSR in IPv6 to the Anycast protocol model for Ad Hoc family networks. The performance of A-DSR and DSR was compared via computer simulations, and it was shown that A-DSR improves the performance of the original protocol and so better meets the requirement of Ad Hoc networks.
