The study of complex networks, their properties, and underlying models has been the focus of a lot of attention in recent years. In particular, the network diameter and spectral analysis have been used to characterize the size and the robustness of such networks, respectively. In this work, we analyze the joint dynamics involving the behavior of the network diameter and the spectral gap under different node removal processes, showing their correlated behavior during the process.
