Thispaperdescribes onemethodtodetermine the optimalapproximation parameters of thesensortransfer characteristics given intable form. Themaintopic ofthis workis theparameter optimization related totheminimization ofthe microcontroller memoryandcomputing theresources, while keeping theapproximation error within theallowed boundaries. Theworksuggests theoptimal algorithms, thedatastructures and the programmodulesto calculate the sensors temperature. Theapproximation process isperformed byusing a customtooldeveloped inMatlab. Itspurpose istoresearch the possibility ofthememoryneedsreduction. The parameters provided byNational Institute ofStandards andTechnology (NIST) werebeing usedasthereference oncomputing resources andmemoryneeds. Thenewparameters areestablished asthe results withmemorydemandsreduced significantly related to demandsprovided bytheNISTwhilekeeping approximation errornegligible.
