Availability Analysis of Permanent Dedicated Path Protection in Multilayer WDM Mesh Networks

This paper compares and analyses the connection availability of permanent dedicated path protection (P-DPP) and dedicated path protection (DPP) in a multilayer WDM network setting. Numerical results show that P-DPP reduces average connection unavailability remarkably.
